the “big leap”
After years spent in the nonprofit world specifically as a professional fundraiser and dreaming of a career as an interior decorator, I finally made the leap. And boy, is it a big one.
The big leap to the business that you see today (and thank you for being here!). After years of making my own home(s) beautiful and those of my friends and family, and random paid gigs, I finally did it, and I couldn’t be more excited (and scared!).
This past year affected all of us in so many different ways - how we work, shop, dine - live. We are spending more time in our homes and sure some of us will return to an office, but for some it may be a hybrid situation of home and office, and others will permanently stay at home. In-person college bound students once delayed by on-campus restrictions can now resume to dorm living and maybe even free up that “extra” room. Some of us (me!) honed our cooking skills and now prefer dining in at home, thus spending more time in the kitchen. Bottom line is there is a higher utilization of these spaces that we may have only stepped in once or twice a week during the “before times”.
So, as I continued to think about all of these considerations, I couldn’t help but think, “how can I help?”. How can I help people navigate these new ways of living? Well, that and I was ready to LEAP! Leap to my dream that has been with me since I was a latchkey kid of the 80s rearranging living spaces while my parents worked full time jobs (more on that later). Dreams can be scary. to chase, but I feel so strongly that we should at least try.
Let me help you realize your dream - your dream of a new home office - tranquil bedroom - kitchen refresh - or an inviting living room. Maybe a new backyard space in time for summer and fall. Functional, accessible, affordable, and beautiful.
Whatever your dream is, let's chase it together.
